Caiden and Mommy's Play Date

Well there is just not much to do in Artesia, NM and Caiden and I are getting pretty bored. I decided to take him to Roswell, NM (about 30 miles from Artesia) to check out the famous Alien Museum. I am not one bit interested in UFOs or Aliens, but hey it is something to do and supposedly the "thing" to do in Roswell. It was free for Caiden to get in and only $5 for me to get in so I thought it was worth it to see what the fuss is all about. It only took us about 30 minutes to walk the entire museum and I got a couple pictures for memories. After we were done we stopped at the Gift Shop and got Caiden some good ol' Alien goodies. He got an Alien sippy cup, post cards, glasses, a blow up Alien and a T-shirt. Sadly, the gifts were the best part. He wanted nothing to do with the Alien glasses as you can tell below in the picture.
After we left the Museum, we headed to eat lunch at a recommended Mexican Food Restaurant called Martins. It was ok and nothing like Mexican Food back home. Brad and I are both craving some good Tex-Mex and will probably have to stop and get a fix before we make it back to Deer Park. Anyways, it was me and Caiden's first out to eat experience by ourselves. He was so good and tried refried beans for the very first time. He did not know what to think of them. I had to take a picture of his face after trying the beans.

After Martins we went to the local zoo that a lady at the museum told us about. It was free to get in so I thought we would check it out. It was surprisingly quite nice and there were a lot of animals to look at. I strolled Caiden around and he seemed to love all the animals. I think his favorite were the ducks at the park because they were right in his face and we were feeding them Puffs (a Gerber toddler snack Caiden loves). It was such a beautiful day and Caiden and I had a lot of fun.
So that was pretty much our fun day out. Of course we were sad Bradley Buck wasn't with us, but we took lots of pictures to show him our fun day.
