Lunch Date with the Girls!!

Last week Caiden and I went to meet Kelli, Tiffany, and Chloe for lunch. Chloe is just a few months younger than Caiden and so so pretty. We hung out at Kelli's for a little while and then headed over to eat lunch at a yummy Mexican Restaurant, Tony's. Kelli took a few pictures of the babies for us. They are still a little too young to really play together, but they will be able to before we know it. We are going to try to get together often for some fun play dates. We had a lot of fun and hope we get together again very soon.

Caiden's First Haircut

On Sunday we took Caiden to Toys R Us to get his first haircut. We know he does not have a lot of hair, but the sides were growing over his ears and we wanted it cut. There was a long wait so we walked around Toys R Us for a while and C was a crazy man. He was so hyper and was standing up in his car seat just screaming and talking and saying Dada. He is such a happy baby. He did ok when getting his haircut, but he definitely did not love it. It looks so much better now!

Happy Valentines Day

Caiden's first Valentines was a fun day. He got a wagon full of blocks, a story time book that sings the songs to you when you flip the pages, a baby drum set, a Valentines frog, lots of Puffs and Crunchies and a cute Tonka truck from Meme. He also got his first Converse shoes from Mamaw and Papaw. We went to eat crawfish with Grandpa and Mawmaw for lunch that day then went to meet Meme and Pops at Texans. That night Mommy and Daddy got to have a date night while Meme babysat for us. It has been a very long time since just us two had dinner together. We went to Artista in Downtown and then went to watch the Chinese Acrobats at Jones Hall. We had a very fun Valentines and are so blessed with the best Valentine ever, our Angel C.

Home Sweet Home

We finally made it home. After four very long weeks Brad got the ok to head home and we could not be more excited. There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed. We drove the 12 hours straight through and were cheering and clapping when we crossed the Texas State line. Luckily for me and Caiden, Daddy drove the whole way and we got to sleep on our big comfy pallet in the back and watch movies. Caiden was such a good boy and did awesome in the car. The dogs were so excited to see us when we got home. We missed our sweet puppies so much. Although they are missing Meme and Pops coming over and feeding them TONS of food. I think they both gained 10 lbs while we were gone. All in all the trip was a good experience, but we are so glad to be home to Deer Park.

We had to stop and get some good Texas Bar-B-Q

A little sick

A few days ago Caiden started running a really high fever so we had to take him to the ER here in Artesia. There is not a pediatrician close by so we decided to take him to the hospital to get checked out. The doctor said he just has a little viral infection and to give him Tylenol and Motrin to keep the fever down. Brad took this picture of Caiden and I waiting in the room until his fever went down. I thought it was a sweet picture and you can just tell C does not feel well.

Pictures of C

Here are a few pictures of our little Angel. He is crawling all over the place and trying so hard to get some words out.

Look at all those teeth
Eating lots of Puffs
He barely fits in his Bumbo anymore, but we don't have a high-chair here in New Mexico. His poor chubby legs get a little stuck when I pull him out.

I love this face

Caiden and Mommy's Play Date

Well there is just not much to do in Artesia, NM and Caiden and I are getting pretty bored. I decided to take him to Roswell, NM (about 30 miles from Artesia) to check out the famous Alien Museum. I am not one bit interested in UFOs or Aliens, but hey it is something to do and supposedly the "thing" to do in Roswell. It was free for Caiden to get in and only $5 for me to get in so I thought it was worth it to see what the fuss is all about. It only took us about 30 minutes to walk the entire museum and I got a couple pictures for memories. After we were done we stopped at the Gift Shop and got Caiden some good ol' Alien goodies. He got an Alien sippy cup, post cards, glasses, a blow up Alien and a T-shirt. Sadly, the gifts were the best part. He wanted nothing to do with the Alien glasses as you can tell below in the picture.
After we left the Museum, we headed to eat lunch at a recommended Mexican Food Restaurant called Martins. It was ok and nothing like Mexican Food back home. Brad and I are both craving some good Tex-Mex and will probably have to stop and get a fix before we make it back to Deer Park. Anyways, it was me and Caiden's first out to eat experience by ourselves. He was so good and tried refried beans for the very first time. He did not know what to think of them. I had to take a picture of his face after trying the beans.

After Martins we went to the local zoo that a lady at the museum told us about. It was free to get in so I thought we would check it out. It was surprisingly quite nice and there were a lot of animals to look at. I strolled Caiden around and he seemed to love all the animals. I think his favorite were the ducks at the park because they were right in his face and we were feeding them Puffs (a Gerber toddler snack Caiden loves). It was such a beautiful day and Caiden and I had a lot of fun.
So that was pretty much our fun day out. Of course we were sad Bradley Buck wasn't with us, but we took lots of pictures to show him our fun day.
