Popsicles and 4 Wheelers

Caiden and Jacob were having so much fun at Grandpa's the other day playing on the 4 wheelers and eating popsicles. It is impossible to get them to both look at the camera and smile at the same time. One of these days they will, but for now this is the best I can do. Also, my camera is still broken so all the pictures are from Brad's cell phone. They play really good together and are almost the exact same size. Caiden is not really pushing Jacob in the wheel barell, but it sure does look like it. Such sweet, fun little boys.

15 Months

Caiden Cole turned 15 months on Tuesday. I feel like I am going to blink my eyes and be at his High School graduation. His Daddy and I love him more than we could ever imagine and everyday we thank God for blessing us with the most precious little healthy boy. We had a little scare over the weekend and had to spend several hours at Texas Children's Hospital with him. Come to find out it was nothing serious, but C was having trouble breathing so we rushed him to the ER. After several tests and X-rays and tons of different doctors and nurses looking at him they came to the conclusion that he had Gastritis. Basically, he had tons of gas built up in his tummy that was putting pressure on his diaphragm. Finally, they let us go home and we could not have been happier to leave that place. Being in that hospital really makes us appreciate how lucky we are to have a healthy son. We know there are so many sweet little babies and kids fighting all kinds of scary diseases and we just pray that they all get to go home very soon. We truly are more blessed than words can say.

So if you are wondering what C man is up to at 15 months here it goes. He is running all over the place and climbing on everything imaginable. I often catch him standing on top of our coffee table or on top of our kitchen chairs. He loves swimming class and is about to get moved up to the next level. He can now go to the bottom of the pool and kick his way to the top of the pool. He holds his breath under water for several seconds and can dive to the bottom and get the diving rings (with assistance). Caiden's appetite is still very good and there isn't much he doesn't like. He loves all kinds of fruit including bananas, apples, oranges, watermelon, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and especially cantaloupe. He eats tons of goldfish, raisins, grilled cheese sandwiches, cheese, pancakes, waffles, and so much more. His favorite is rice and beans and he even dips his chips in the cheese dip now (apple don't fall far from the tree). He can say Mama, Dada, dog, duck, deer, Jacob, hat, ju(juice). Caiden is currently learning all the colors in sign language and can show you where everything is on his body. He is very outgoing and rarely meets a stranger. He loves to play on the kiddy slide at day care and slides down head first. He has no fear and will run into the pitch dark at night without any hesitation. He HATES wearing his shoes and will take them off any chance he can. He is a very happy little boy and unless he is sleepy, he is usually smiling. He is growing like a weed and now weighs 27 lbs. We are so proud of our little man and could not love him more if we tried.

Of course, I would not leave you without posting some pictures of the love of our life.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!!

Fisherman in Training

Mr. C is ALL boy!! He is obsessed with being outside and loves doing any and everything outdoors. He loves to play in the backyard with our puppies, help Daddy with yard work, play on the tractor, dig in dirt, and pretty much anything else that requires you to be outside. These pictures are from the bay house a few weeks ago. Brad was fishing and he let Caiden play with the bait. He just handled the slimy, squirmy thing like it was nothing. If you look close you can see the little piggy perch in his hands.

I love my little Mr. Handsome

Corpus Christi Hooks Game

Sorry for the bad picture quality, but my camera is not working at the moment so all the pictures are from Brad's phone. Just FYI... Last week we were in Rockport because Brad had a client in Corpus he needed to visit so we went to a Hooks game with Nanny. It was a lot of fun and our seats were right behind the Home plate and on the third row so Caiden could really get into the game. He was not too sure what to think of Rusty the mascot. Every time he would come around Caiden's legs would start kicking. He wanted to see him, but was scared at the same time. It was a fun game and the Hooks won, so even better!!

Fishing with Daddy

These pictures are from April, but I thought they were too cute not to post. Caiden and Brad were fishing at our friends Andy and Misha's house after a really big storm came through. The sky was so pretty and I just love these pictures.

How Fast He Grows

I thought it would be fun to post a picture from every month of Caiden's first year. It was so hard to just choose one from each month because there are so many pictures. He is now 14 months and is growing like a weed. He is in the 80th percentile in all his categories and right on track for development. He is saying several words now and loves to run everywhere. It just goes by so fast so I wanted to reminisce the sweetness of my love bug's 1st year. Enjoy and please leave comments. We love to know that you are watching the blog and I promise to start updating more often.
